Tekleen Automatic Water Filters | STH’s New Filtration Line

  • On August 18, 2019

As a building engineer, you constantly have your multi-story location in your mind. Is water pressure adequate? Are common areas well lit? Are my tenants protected from a fire event? One of the top three major equipment that keeps you busy is the HVAC system. This system has a peculiarity that separates it from the rest; one of it’s components is exposing it to the elements. This, of course, is the cooling tower. Open to elements by design, the cooling tower takes heat out of the building by exposing water that runs through it to the air outside. During this process, the cooling tower also collects dust, pollen, and other impurities that can and will affect it’s performance. On the far-end you might need to replace major components due to faults caused by these pollutants. The long proven solution is filtration.

Filtering this water will extend the life of your HVAC system and cut down on maintenance. This, however, opens up a new time consuming, sometimes expensive and hazardous process; replacing filters. Time and money. Disposable filters need either constant monitoring to ensure they are not clogged or are placed on a replacement schedule that on occasions do not reflect the reality of how quickly they need to be substituted. Enter Tekleen Automatic Filters. STH’s new filtration line has many applications. Filtering cooling tower water has been it’s primary use for some time now. This “set-it-and-forget-it” solution will filter your cooling tower and when the time comes, automatically flush and clean itself. No more costly and time consuming filter replacements needed. The filter works 24/7 and you can focus on other parts of your building that require attention.
