2019 Spring Symposium Gallery

The STH 2019 Engineering Symposium at the University of Maryland Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center included nine presentations by Commercial and Municipal industry experts on Rainwater Harvesting, Filtration, Stormwater, Wastewater Pumps/Pump Stations and Water Pump/Pump Stations.

The symposium concluded with a keynote presentation by the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) on the WSSC Fuel Gas Code with an emphasis on WSSC amendments to the International Plumbing Code and International Fuel Gas Code which are closely examined by the WSSC Plumbing-Mechanical Engineering review section. WSSC staff also reviewed grease abatement code and design, cross connection requirements, and industrial discharge surveys, discussing changes introduced in 2019 such as water metering, requirements for detector backflow preventers and ePermitting and ePlan review procedures.

The free catered event culminated with many door prizes being given out to attendees during the serving of Hors D’oeuvers at a casual happy hour in the Maryland Room.

STH is an Approved Educational Provider for the State of Maryland and offered PDH credits for each seminar attended during the day.
